The Chord Electronics Suzi Pre is a compact, versatile preamp designed for use as the front end of a small high-performance system. It combines three RCA inputs, a built-in MM/MC phono stage, headphone output, and stereo RCA output in a small chassis from Chord’s Hugo range.

Used on its own, the Suzi Pre can serve as a standalone analog preamp, phono stage, and headphone amplifier. Paired with the matching Suzi Amp, it creates a compact pre/power amplifier system with turntable support and headphone listening built in.

Built-In MM/MC Phono Stage

The Suzi Pre includes a turntable input with support for both MM and MC cartridges. Its phono stage offers selectable gain and impedance, allowing it to work with a range of cartridge outputs and loading requirements.

Headphone Listening Built In

Front-panel 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm headphone outputs allow the Suzi Pre to be used with one or two pairs of headphones. Connecting headphones switches the unit to headphone output, making it suitable for private listening without adding a separate headphone amplifier.

Compact System Flexibility

With three RCA inputs and one stereo RCA output, the Suzi Pre can anchor a simple analog system, integrate a turntable, or feed a suitable unbalanced power amplifier. When partnered with the Suzi Amp, it forms a small-footprint Chord pre/power system with phono and headphone functionality.

Polychromatic Control Sphere

A central polychromatic control sphere handles volume and input selection, while front-panel controls provide access to phono gain and impedance settings. Remote control operation is also supported.
