The Chord Electronics Suzi Amp is a compact modular stereo power amplifier built around Chord’s ULTIMA amplifier topology. Delivering 30 W per channel into 8 Ω, it is designed to work as a standalone power amplifier or as the foundation of a small-footprint Chord system.

Used on its own, the Suzi Amp accepts an analog signal from an existing preamp and drives loudspeakers through 4 mm banana outputs. Its rear RCA inputs, AV bypass control, 12 V DC output, and modular top-panel interface allow it to adapt to several different Chord system configurations.

ULTIMA Technology in a Compact Chassis

The Suzi Amp uses Chord’s ULTIMA amplifier topology in a chassis sized to match products from the Hugo range. Its vented casework supports thermal performance while keeping the amplifier compact enough for desktop, bookshelf, or small-room systems.

Standalone Power Amplifier

With RCA analog inputs and 4 mm banana speaker outputs, the Suzi Amp can be used with an existing preamp as a compact stereo power amplifier. The AV bypass function engages the rear RCA inputs for this use case.

Suzi Pre Integration

Pairing the Suzi Amp with the matching Suzi Pre creates a compact analog pre/power amplifier system with phono stage and headphone output. The two units connect directly, giving the system a tidy, stacked footprint without requiring conventional interconnects between the preamp and power amplifier.

Hugo 2 and 2go System Options

The Suzi Amp can also be partnered with Chord’s Hugo 2 DAC to create a DAC/amplifier system. Add the optional USB Multiplexer for USB-B data plus USB-C data and charging, or combine Hugo 2 with 2go to create a streaming DAC/amplifier with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Roon Endpoint, DLNA/UPnP connectivity, and up to 2 TB of MicroSD storage through 2go’s twin card slots.

Headphone Pass-Through

The front-panel 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm headphone outputs are active when the Suzi Amp is connected to a Suzi Pre or Hugo 2, allowing one or two listeners to use headphones through a connected source.
