The second generation of Sonus faber’s Sonetto Collection brings technologies developed for the company’s higher-end loudspeakers into a more accessible range. Made in Vicenza, Italy, Sonetto G2 combines the company’s signature lute-shaped cabinets and natural materials with purpose-designed drivers, including the Camelia midrange originally developed for the flagship Suprema system. The collection is designed to maintain a consistent tonal character across both music and home theater applications.

Sonetto Center is a dedicated 3-way center-channel loudspeaker combining a 1.1” DAD tweeter, a 4” Camelia midrange, and two 6.5” woofers. The midrange operates in its own sealed enclosure while the woofers use a rear-vented cabinet. By separating the vocal range from the bass drivers, the design is intended to improve dialogue clarity, dispersion, and consistency across the listening area.

Features

Camelia Midrange

Derived from the technology developed for Suprema, the 4” Camelia midrange uses an organically shaped diaphragm inspired by the camellia flower. Its non-circular geometry is designed to reduce resonant behavior, while a copper shorting ring helps control distortion and improve linearity.

Dedicated Midrange Enclosure

The Camelia midrange operates in its own sealed internal chamber, isolating it from the pressure generated by the woofers. This separation helps preserve clarity through the vocal range, particularly important for dialogue reproduction in a home theater system.

DAD Silk-Dome Tweeter

Sonetto Center uses Sonus faber’s 1.1” DAD (Damped Apex Dome) Arrow Point extended-frequency tweeter with a neodymium motor and copper shorting ring. The design provides wide high-frequency extension and helps maintain tonal consistency with the other Sonetto G2 loudspeakers.

Dual 6.5” Woofers

Two 6.5” woofers flank the midrange and tweeter assembly. Each uses an aluminum demodulation ring to help reduce distortion, while the rear-vented enclosure provides greater bass extension and dynamic capability.

Lute-Shaped Cabinet

Sonetto Center adapts Sonus faber’s signature lute-shaped cabinet to a horizontal format. The curved enclosure blends the front baffle into the cabinet while helping control internal resonances, with wood veneer and leather finishes matching the rest of the Sonetto G2 Collection.
