The third generation of Sonus faber’s Olympica Collection brings advanced driver technologies and refined cabinet construction to a range of loudspeakers designed for both music and home theater. Drawing on developments from the company's flagship Suprema system, Olympica G3 combines handcrafted wood cabinets, aluminum detailing, and leather accents with updated acoustic engineering. The collection maintains Sonus faber's emphasis on natural sound reproduction while offering a consistent sonic character across stereo and multichannel systems.

Olympica I G3 is a compact 2-way standmount loudspeaker designed to deliver the sound quality and craftsmanship of the Olympica Collection in smaller listening environments. It combines a 1.1” DAD silk-dome tweeter with a 6.5” Camelia paper-cone midwoofer in a vented enclosure. Sonus faber's Stealth Ultraflex port system supports controlled bass response, while the asymmetrical lute-shaped cabinet helps minimize internal resonances. A dedicated aluminum stand is available separately to provide a stable foundation and position the loudspeaker at the appropriate listening height.

2-Way Standmount Design

Olympica I G3 uses a 2-way configuration with a dedicated high-frequency driver and a 6.5” midwoofer handling the midrange and bass. A crossover at 2.3 kHz divides the signal between the drivers, allowing each to operate within its intended frequency range. The compact enclosure is designed for smaller and medium-sized listening rooms while maintaining the tonal character of the larger Olympica G3 models.

Stealth Ultraflex Vented Enclosure

Olympica I G3 uses Sonus faber's full para-aperiodic Stealth Ultraflex venting system to manage airflow from the cabinet. The design helps reduce turbulence and unwanted port noise while extending low-frequency performance. The vented enclosure provides a specified frequency response down to 57 Hz, giving the compact loudspeaker useful bass extension without requiring a larger cabinet.

DAD Silk-Dome Tweeter

The 1.1” DAD (Damped Apex Dome) Arrow Point extended-frequency tweeter uses a silk diaphragm and Sonus faber's proprietary damping technology to control dome movement and extend high-frequency performance. Designed to minimize unwanted resonances, the tweeter provides detailed, natural treble reproduction consistent with the other loudspeakers in the Olympica G3 Collection.

6.5” Camelia Midwoofer

Developed originally for Sonus faber's flagship Suprema system, the 6.5” Camelia driver features a distinctive non-circular paper-cone diaphragm inspired by the geometry of the camellia flower. Its shape is designed to reduce unwanted resonances and improve clarity through the critical midrange frequencies. A copper cap helps control distortion and improve linearity, supporting natural vocal reproduction and detailed musical textures. In Olympica I G3, the driver also handles low-frequency reproduction, combining midrange clarity with the bass extension required of a 2-way loudspeaker.

Lute-Shaped Cabinet

The cabinet incorporates Sonus faber's signature asymmetrical lute-shaped construction, with curved surfaces that help minimize internal standing waves and resonances. Crafted wood panels, solid aluminum detailing, and leather accents give Olympica I G3 the refined appearance characteristic of the collection. A 45-degree herringbone wood veneer pattern, inspired by the company's Stradivari loudspeakers, adds visual texture and continuity across the cabinet. Walnut and Wengè finishes allow the speaker to complement a variety of listening environments.

Refined Top Plate

The updated top plate gives Olympica I G3 a distinctive visual identity, with the Sonus faber logo positioned on the upper surface. Its clean lines and carefully integrated detailing complement the cabinet's curved wood surfaces and aluminum accents, reinforcing the collection's emphasis on craftsmanship and material quality.

Dedicated Bookshelf Stand

An optional dedicated stand is designed specifically for Olympica I G3. Constructed from aluminum with stainless steel spikes, the stand provides a stable foundation and helps position the tweeter at an appropriate height for seated listening. Its proportions and finishes complement the loudspeaker cabinet, creating a visually integrated standmount system. Stands are sold separately.
