The third generation of Sonus faber’s Olympica Collection brings advanced driver technologies and refined cabinet construction to a range of loudspeakers designed for both music and home theater. Drawing on developments from the company's flagship Suprema system, Olympica G3 combines handcrafted wood cabinets, aluminum detailing, and leather accents with updated acoustic engineering. The collection maintains Sonus faber's emphasis on natural sound reproduction while offering a consistent sonic character across stereo and multichannel systems.

Olympica Center G3 is a 3-way center channel loudspeaker designed to reproduce dialogue, vocals, and other critical front-channel information in a home theater system. It combines a DAD silk-dome tweeter with a 4” Camelia midrange driver and two 6.5” woofers. The dedicated sealed midrange enclosure and vented woofer chamber allow the drivers to operate under conditions suited to their respective frequency ranges. Designed to complement the other loudspeakers in the Olympica G3 Collection, Olympica Center delivers consistent tonal balance across the front soundstage.

3-Way Center Channel Design

Olympica Center G3 uses a dedicated 3-way configuration to separate high-, mid-, and low-frequency reproduction. The centrally positioned tweeter and midrange driver handle the frequencies most important for dialogue intelligibility, while two 6.5” woofers provide low-frequency support. Crossover points at 600 Hz and 2.9 kHz distribute the signal between the drivers, allowing each to operate within its intended frequency range.

Dedicated Midrange Enclosure

The 4” Camelia midrange operates in a sealed internal chamber, acoustically isolated from the two woofers. This prevents pressure variations generated by the woofers from interfering with the midrange diaphragm. The woofers use a vented enclosure to extend low-frequency performance, giving Olympica Center G3 a specified frequency response extending down to 58 Hz.

DAD Silk-Dome Tweeter

The DAD (Damped Apex Dome) Arrow Point extended-frequency tweeter uses a silk diaphragm and Sonus faber's proprietary damping technology to control dome movement and extend high-frequency performance. Designed to minimize unwanted resonances, the tweeter provides detailed, natural treble reproduction consistent with the other loudspeakers in the Olympica G3 Collection.

4” Camelia Midrange

Developed originally for Sonus faber's flagship Suprema system, the Camelia midrange driver features a distinctive non-circular paper-cone diaphragm inspired by the geometry of the camellia flower. Its shape is designed to reduce unwanted resonances and improve clarity through the critical midrange frequencies. A copper cap helps control distortion and improve linearity, supporting natural vocal reproduction and the accurate reproduction of dialogue.

Dual 6.5” Woofers

Two 6.5” paper-cone woofers handle low-frequency reproduction, providing the foundation for dialogue, music, and effects. By assigning bass duties to dedicated drivers, the 3-way design reduces the demands placed on the Camelia midrange. The vented enclosure supports useful bass extension while allowing Olympica Center G3 to integrate with the other loudspeakers and subwoofers in a multichannel system.

Lute-Shaped Cabinet

The cabinet incorporates Sonus faber's signature lute-shaped construction, with curved surfaces that help minimize internal standing waves and resonances. Crafted wood panels, solid aluminum detailing, and leather accents give Olympica Center G3 the refined appearance characteristic of the collection. A 45-degree herringbone wood veneer pattern, inspired by the company's Stradivari loudspeakers, adds visual texture and continuity across the cabinet. Walnut and Wengè finishes allow the speaker to complement a variety of listening environments.

Dedicated Center Channel Stand

An optional dedicated stand positions Olympica Center G3 for use in a home theater system. Constructed from aluminum with stainless steel spikes, the stand follows the design language of the Olympica Collection and provides a stable foundation for the substantial cabinet.
