The T-2000 is Phasemation’s flagship, taking the dual-mono concept to the logical end by coming in two separate left and right channel units. Each unit is built to suppress vibration and external induction hum, with heavy copper-plated panels and high-grade hardware to minimize magnetic and mechanical interference in critical low-level cartridge signals.

At the core is Phasemation’s original split-winding architecture on a large EI core, wound with thick copper to extend bandwidth and preserve phase integrity. The result is exceptionally linear bass, spacious imaging, and very low noise without the artifacts of active gain stages. Gain is fixed at 26 dB to maintain simplicity and purity.

The T-2000 supports balanced phono transmission from the cartridge and uses rhodium-plated terminals from Furutech for long-term, low-resistance connections. It is optimized around a 4 Ω coil and accommodates MC cartridges from 1.5–40 Ω into a standard 47 kΩ MM input.

Who Needs a SUT?

If you have a low-output moving coil cartridge, a step-up transformer passively boosts cartridge voltage so you can use the MM input on a phonostage—typically far lower in active gain, and therefore less likely to amplify noise. Matching matters: check your cartridge’s internal impedance and consult our analog team before you buy.
