A 160 W, high-bias class A and AB amp designed by John Curl. With onboard DAC, HT bypass, headphone amp, MM/MC phonostage.
With power amp circuitry designed by the legendary John Curl, the Parasound Halo HINT 6 is a hugely powerful high-bias class-A with AB operation. It has an onboard Sabre DAC with USB DSD input, USB 384/32 PCM, and coax and optical up to 192/24.
The phonostage will support moving magnet, moving coil, and moving iron cartridges. There is a home theater bypass and front panel subwoofer level control for easy integration into a cinema system. There is a dedicated high-current headphone amp, and bass and treble controls.
The oversized, shielded toroidal power supply, and power amp stage are both dual mono, and there is 40,000 uF of power supply filter capacitance. Matched JFET input stages perfectly synch with MOSFET driver stages featuring 12 high voltage/high current bipolar output transistors
