Onkyo A-50 Network Integrated Amplifier

A high-current integrated amplifier with HDMI ARC, MM/MC phono, network streaming, Dirac Live room correction, and 32 bit/768 kHz DAC 

The Onkyo A-50 Integrated Amplifier is designed for modern two-channel systems that need strong speaker drive, flexible source connection, and room-aware playback in one component. Its three-stage Inverted Darlington amplifier drives high-current signals with minimal distortion, helping music stay clear, strong, and controlled.

Onkyo’s patented Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry, or DIDRC, is a discrete signal-control circuit used in the analog filter of the DAC. Its high slew-rate design reduces noise generated in very high frequency bands from digital sources, helping the A-50 deliver cleaner, clearer sound while preserving Onkyo’s vivid, smooth presentation.

The A-50 is built with a 5 mm thick extruded aluminum front panel, an oval chassis with oval press lines to strengthen the bottom surface and disperse vibration, and a fanless design that eliminates fan noise. High-quality 10,000 µF capacitors custom made for Onkyo, a copper bus bar, and an extruded aluminum heat sink further support low-noise, stable performance.

High-Current Amplification With Low Distortion

With 110 W into 8 ohms and 180 W into 4 ohms, the A-50 is built to drive a wide range of speakers, from compact bookshelf models to large floorstanders. Its amplifier section is engineered to combine power and control while minimizing distortion across everyday listening levels.

Connect Turntables, Digital Sources, TVs, and Streamers

The A-50 supports a wide range of sources, including 3 pairs of RCA inputs, HDMI ARC, MM/MC phono, coaxial, USB-A, optical, and headphone output. It also supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Qplay, TuneIn, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Roon Ready playback, giving you the option to hardwire sources or cast music directly.

The A-50 is compatible with the Onkyo Controller mobile app, allowing playback and settings control from your listening position.

Dirac Live Room Correction Built In

The A-50 includes Dirac Live Room Correction Suite Stereo, designed to help address acoustic issues in your listening room. Frequency-response correction is available from 20 Hz–500 Hz in the included limited version, with full-bandwidth correction available through a separate license purchase.
