Naim Solstice Turntable Special Edition

A limited-edition belt drive table with the Naim Aro arm, Naim Equinox MC cart, a power supply, and phonostage.

The Special Edition of Naim's first turntable is limited to just 500 units. The Solstice turntable comes with a next-generation version of the iconic Naim Aro tonearm, an Equinox MC cartridge, Solstice Series Phono Stage, Solstice Power Supply, and a bespoke accessories set.  The Special Edition package also includes a commemorative book, plus the Naim Records True Stereo album – a curated collection of superb-quality True Stereo recordings, newly remastered for vinyl.

The Solstice is a Naim through and through, using multiple levels of mechanical decoupling, and use of beautiful materials executed with an extremely high build quality. A magnetic bearing supports a high-mass, highly polished aluminum platter, and the belt drive uses an optical self-calibrating system for exceptional speed stability.

Analog Heritage

This might be Naim's first turntable, but Naim has always championed vinyl, refusing to produce a CD player until they were happy that the sound could match Naim's standard. Naim made the iconic ARO tonearm in 1989, a product that set a benchmark for delivering natural, organic, and lifelike musical performances. The updated ARO in the Solstice Special Edition boosts performance by using improved materials such as tungsten and carbon fiber, as well as adding all-new, no compromise bias, arm height, and azimuth adjustments.

Naim's moving coil cartridge, the Equinox, contains the motor and MicroLine diamond stylus in a housing made from a single billet of aluminum. A raked silver polished chamfer passes over the black cartridge edges, simultaneously communicating the unseen facets of the diamond stylus and giving a nod to heritage Naim ‘chrome bumper’ designs.

To maximize stability and energy transfer, the stylus, cantilever, and motor components are securely clamped to the cartridge body, which itself is attached to the headshell with a three-point fixing.

Solstice Phonostage and PSU

For the NVC TT phonostage, Naim has designed simple but elegant circuits based on its Discrete Regulator (DR) technology, which provides the smooth, stable power supply that’s vital for next-level performance. Naim chooses from premium components, fanatically measuring and matching for ultimate accuracy.

The Solstice Series NPX TT Power Supply is a custom design that powers both the turntable and the phonostage, with each section completely isolated. The PSU also uses Naim's DR technology, providing the cleanest possible power. 

The phonostage and power supply are hand-crafted in Salisbury, and the turntable, arm, and cartridge are made by Clearaudio to Naim's fanatical standards.
