The Musical Fidelity X-Power TT is a linear power supply upgrade for Musical Fidelity turntables, designed for the Roundtable S/S2, M8xTT, and M6xTT. It replaces the standard power adapter with a non-switching supply built around an isolating transformer, precise regulation, substantial filtration, and low-noise components.

Musical Fidelity turntables already use built-in speed control, with the motor powered by a precision DC-driven AC generator for stable speed and voltage. The X-Power TT is designed to give that system a cleaner and more consistent power source, helping the speed-control electronics do their job with less interference from the AC line.

Inside, the X-Power TT uses a main isolating transformer with copper-foil shielding, low-ESR capacitors, and 10,000 µF of filtration capacity. The transformer has higher power reserve than the standard adapter, with low output impedance to support demanding turntable loads, including heavy mass-loaded platters.

The chassis revives Musical Fidelity’s classic X-profile design, using a one-piece aluminum extrusion for improved shielding against electromagnetic interference, finished with a brushed aluminum faceplate.

Compatible Turntables: Musical Fidelity Roundtable S/S2, M8xTT, M6xTT. This power supply will also work with other brands, notably Pro-Ject tables that use 15 V DC and 2 A. Contact our analog department and ask if this will work for your table!
