A Three-Way Design With Twin 6" Bass Drivers, Dedicated Midrange, and Monitor Audio’s Latest Silver Series Engineering

The Monitor Audio Silver 300 8G is a three-way floorstanding speaker built around a dedicated driver for each part of the frequency range. Twin 6" C-CAM RST III bass drivers are joined by a 3" C-CAM RST III midrange driver and 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, giving the Silver 300 8G the driver area and architecture to serve as the foundation of a serious two-channel or home theater system.

As part of Monitor Audio’s eighth-generation Silver Series, the Silver 300 8G incorporates revised driver geometry, crossover design, cabinet bracing, and port technology. The speaker reaches a specified 30 Hz in-room at -6 dB, handles 200 W continuously under the CTA 426-B standard, and is rated for a maximum peak SPL of 116 dB.

C-CAM Drivers With RST III Geometry

The Silver 300 8G uses Monitor Audio’s C-CAM driver technology throughout. Its two 6" bass drivers and dedicated 3" midrange driver employ RST III cone geometry, while high frequencies are handled by a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. The three-way arrangement allows the midrange driver to operate independently of the bass drivers, with crossover points at 610 Hz and 3.3 kHz.

Silent Flow Port Technology

Monitor Audio’s Silent Flow Port Technology is designed to improve airflow and reduce distortion from the speaker’s bass-reflex system. The port is tuned to 41 Hz and works with the twin bass drivers to support the Silver 300 8G’s low-frequency extension.

A Cabinet Built Around the Drivers

Through-bolt driver bracing reinforces the cabinet while providing a rigid mechanical connection for the drivers. Monitor Audio also equips the Silver 300 8G with a new outrigger system for a stable footprint. Magnetic grilles keep the front baffle free of visible grille fixings when they are removed.

The Silver 300 8G is offered in High Gloss Black, Satin White, and European Walnut finishes and is sold as a pair.
