McIntosh MX200 11.2-Channel A/V Processor
11.2-channel processing with balanced outputs, 8K HDMI, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Dirac Live room correction
The McIntosh MX200 A/V Processor provides up to 11.2 channels of surround processing in a compact, rack-mountable chassis. It supports systems ranging from conventional 5.1 configurations through 7.2.4 immersive layouts, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X processing for overhead and object-based surround sound.
Eleven discrete balanced outputs connect the MX200 to external power amplifiers, while two independent unbalanced subwoofer outputs support dual-subwoofer systems. Seven 32-bit DACs handle digital-to-analog conversion, and both balanced and unbalanced stereo inputs are provided for conventional two-channel sources.
Dirac Live Room Correction
Dirac Live Room Correction Full Bandwidth is included with the MX200, providing frequency- and time-domain correction for the complete home theater system. A calibration microphone and stand are included, and unique crossover frequencies can be assigned to individual speakers.
Bass and treble tone controls provide additional adjustment after calibration. The MX200 can also process conventional stereo, 5.1, and 7.1 systems in addition to its maximum 7.2.4 configuration.
8K HDMI and eARC
Four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output support 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz video. The HDMI connections support HDCP 2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, Rec. 2020, 4:4:4 color, and 3D video passthrough.
The HDMI output includes eARC, allowing compatible televisions to send high-resolution audio formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio back to the processor through the HDMI connection. Two coaxial and two optical digital audio inputs provide additional connectivity for source components.
Analog Sources and Custom Installation
Analog connectivity includes one balanced stereo input, one unbalanced auxiliary input, and a Moving Magnet phono input for direct connection of a turntable. The processor supports Dolby Surround and Neural:X upmixing in addition to native Dolby Atmos and DTS:X playback.
The MX200 is designed for both conventional installations and equipment-rack applications. It occupies 2U of rack space and provides Ethernet-based setup, RS232 control, Power Control outputs, a Data Port, and a rear-panel IR input. It is also certified for integration with Control4 and Crestron Home automation systems.
