The McIntosh MTI100 Integrated Turntable combines a belt-drive turntable, vacuum tube preamplifier, phonostage, power amplifier, digital and analog inputs, Bluetooth connectivity, and headphone amplifier in a single compact component. Add a pair of speakers and the MTI100 can serve as the center of a complete audio system.

The 7 lb. machined aluminum platter sits on a 3/8"-thick glass top plate above a 1/4"-thick metal plate, creating a substantial mechanical foundation designed to help resist and absorb vibration. The platter is driven by an industrial-grade permanent magnet AC synchronous motor with a two-speed pulley for 33-1/3 and 45 rpm playback. A Sumiko Olympia moving magnet cartridge is factory installed.

The machined aluminum tonearm uses a Cardan bearing arrangement, with ball bearings for lateral movement and sapphire/tungsten vertical bearings. Antiskate is incorporated into the tonearm design, while the inverted platter bearing uses a hardened steel shaft, axial ball arrangement, and bronze bushing.

A pair of 12AX7 vacuum tubes powers the main preamplifier section, while the dedicated phonostage is housed in a shielded enclosure to help prevent interference from reaching the low-level phono signal. The built-in class D power amplifier delivers 50 Wpc into 8 ohms or 80 Wpc into 4 ohms.

Additional sources can be connected through an unbalanced analog input, coaxial and optical digital inputs, or High Definition Bluetooth 4.2. The MTI100 also provides a subwoofer output, speaker outputs, a front-panel headphone jack powered by McIntosh’s High Drive headphone amplifier, and a preamplifier output bridged internally to the amplifier input.
