The McIntosh MI347 is a dedicated 7-channel home theater amplifier using closed-loop digital switching amplifiers. Its three front channels deliver 250 W each into 8 ohms or 300 W into 4 ohms, while the four surround channels provide 125 W each into 8 ohms or 200 W into 4 ohms.

This power distribution gives the front left, center, and right speakers additional output for dialogue, music, and demanding effects while providing ample power for surround and ceiling speakers. The efficient class D design operates without cooling fans and fits into a rack-friendly 3U chassis with removable mounting brackets.

Multicolor LED indicators on the front panel display the status of each channel. Each of the seven channels has both balanced and unbalanced analog inputs, along with standard McIntosh 5-way speaker binding posts.
