The McIntosh MI254 is a flexible 4-channel amplifier for distributed audio, home theater, and stereo systems. It delivers 250 W per channel into 8 ohms or 300 W per channel into 4 ohms using closed-loop digital switching amplifiers and robust power supplies.

Its compact 2U chassis can be rack mounted using the included removable mounting ears or used as a conventional standalone component. The highly efficient class D design requires no cooling fans during normal operation, making it well suited to equipment racks and dedicated installation spaces.

Two blue McIntosh Watt Meters display the summed output of channels 1 + 2 and channels 3 + 4, while multicolor LED indicators show individual channel status. Each channel has balanced and unbalanced inputs and a 5-way speaker binding post, while BUS inputs and outputs simplify distributing a stereo signal across multiple channels or amplifiers.
