The McIntosh MI1250 is a 12-channel amplifier designed for distributed and whole-house audio systems. It delivers 50 W per channel into 8 ohms or 90 W per channel into 4 ohms using closed-loop digital switching amplifiers.

Its compact 2U chassis can be rack mounted using the included removable mounting ears or used as a conventional standalone component. The highly efficient class D design requires no cooling fans during normal operation, making it well suited to multizone installations and equipment racks.

Each channel has an individual unbalanced analog input, volume control, and 2-pole Phoenix-style push-in speaker terminal. Two digital audio inputs accept either coaxial or optical signals and can be bussed across channels, while channel-summing circuitry simplifies mono signal distribution.
