The McIntosh MC255 is a 5-channel solid-state power amplifier designed for high-performance home theater systems. With the three front channels operating, it delivers 250 W per channel into either 4 or 8 ohms. With all five channels operating, it delivers 200 W per channel into 4 or 8 ohms.
Dynamic Power Manager® technology allows the MC255 to deliver its full rated power into either 4- or 8-ohm loudspeakers. Increased filter capacity provides 3.6 dB of dynamic headroom, while four McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks™ dissipate heat without cooling fans.
The TripleView™ Power Output Meter combines three traditional mechanical McIntosh meters in a single 15" enclosure to display the real-time output of the front left, center, and right channels. Power Guard® protects against clipping and overdriving, while Sentry Monitor™ provides fuse-free short-circuit protection. Five balanced and five unbalanced inputs provide connection flexibility.
