The McIntosh MB25 Bluetooth Transceiver provides a simple way to add high-quality Bluetooth streaming to virtually any McIntosh or non-McIntosh audio system. Designed as a compact standalone component, it can operate as either a Bluetooth receiver or transmitter, allowing music to be streamed from a phone or other compatible device to a home audio system, or from an audio system to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

The MB25 uses Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1 technology with a transmission range of up to 150 feet under suitable conditions. It supports A2DP, SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Low Latency, and aptX HD, with a high-performance 32-bit DAC used in receiver mode and a premium analog-to-digital converter used in transmitter mode.

Balanced and unbalanced analog inputs and outputs make the MB25 suitable for a wide range of systems, while coaxial and optical digital inputs and outputs provide additional connection options. In transmit mode, the desired input can be selected from the front panel. The MB25 cannot be used as a standalone DAC.

An illuminated black glass front panel displays useful information including the selected input, applicable signal rate, and connection type. Power Control input and output connections allow the MB25 to switch on and off with other compatible McIntosh components, while an external antenna helps provide reliable wireless performance.
