Focal Omada N°4 Floorstanding Loudspeaker

A Three-Way Design With Dual Slatefiber Woofers, Focal’s TAM Tweeter, and Powerflow Bass-Reflex Loading

The Focal Omada N°4 is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker built around Focal’s Slatefiber cone technology and TAM inverted-dome tweeter. Two 8-1/4" Slatefiber woofers handle the low frequencies, while a dedicated 6-1/2" Slatefiber driver covers the midrange. Focal specifies a 92 dB sensitivity and recommends the Omada N°4 for rooms of at least 269 sq. ft. (25 m²).

The Slatefiber drivers use a recycled carbon-fiber cone developed and manufactured by Focal in France. According to Focal, the material combines the rigidity needed by the woofers with the neutrality and balance required through the midrange.

TAM Tweeter With Improved Horizontal Directivity

High frequencies are handled by Focal’s 1" Aluminum/Magnesium TAM tweeter, also manufactured in France. Its M-shaped inverted dome works with a urethane waveguide designed to improve horizontal directivity and sound-image consistency. Focal describes the tweeter as combining precision with a softer presentation intended for extended listening.

Dual Woofers and Powerflow Bass Loading

The Omada N°4 uses two 8-1/4" Slatefiber woofers and Focal’s multi-port Powerflow technology, with bass-reflex ports located at both the front and rear of the cabinet. Focal specifies a frequency response of 40 Hz–30 kHz at ±3 dB and a low-frequency point of 34 Hz at -6 dB.

Rigid Cabinet and Time Alignment

An ultra-rigid MDF enclosure is designed to control cabinet resonance, while an aluminum base provides a stable foundation for the tall floorstanding cabinet. The enclosure is tilted for time alignment of the drivers, and supplied spikes provide mechanical coupling to the floor. A leather-effect front panel and removable magnetic grille complete the exterior.
