EAT C-Dur Turntable

Belt-driven with a 10" carbon tonearm, aluminum headshell, and adjustable VTA. Handmade in Europe.

The C-Dur turntable was created to satisfy two customer demands. It has an internal speed control for ease of use and a smaller footprint. It is finished in wood to give the luxury appeal of the Reference tables in a more accessible package.

Available in Satin Black and High Gloss Plum Wood finishes, the C-Dur is a step up from the C-Major and C-Sharp. It comes with conical damped aluminum feet, a mass-loaded 11.5 lb aluminum platter, and of course that onboard speed control.

The platter sits on a full aluminum 1.9 lb resonance-free sub-platter. A massive inverted main bearing guarantees silent playback and accurate speeds. The mass-loaded nearly 4 lb bearing block uses a polished stainless-steel spindle with a ceramic ball on the top. This, in combination with a Teflon plate as a bearing mirror offers good damping as well as low friction.

The Tonearm

The 10“ carbon EAT C-Note tonearm combines all advantages of an unipivot arm with a Cardan joint. The uni-pivot in the middle lessens the load on the bearing, and the Cardan bearing ensures high stability and ease of use with very low friction. Inside the arm is a special silicon-based grease to damp resonance by more than 50%.

The carbon tube offers stiffness, the aluminum headshell offers damping. It's a perfect match. A semi-balanced 5P DIN to RCA cable is included. Simply upgrade to a balanced phono cable for the benefit of fully balanced signal transmission.

The Motor

An ultra-low-noise motor is isolated and placed into a steel ring which is then mounted in the chassis. An external DC power supply unit with an AC generator creates a completely clean power for the motor. A special anti-static polished
rubber belt connects the motor with the sub-platter.

The Feet

Three height adjustable damped aluminum feet guarantee perfect stability and  massively reduce risk of acoustical feedback. TPE (Termoplastic Elastomers) inserts greatly help with damping and isolation, making the C-Dur easy to place.
