When you buy two Devialet Astra amps, you can configure them to work in dual mono to output 300 Wpc into 8 ohms, and 600 Wpc into 4 ohms.

The Devialet Astra is a true integrated audiophile system, bringing together a preamp, power amplifier, DAC, streamer, and phonostage in a single ultra-compact chassis. Designed for listeners who want high-end two-channel performance without a rack full of separate components, Astra combines serious output power, broad digital and analog connectivity, and Devialet’s distinctive slimline industrial design.

At its core is Devialet’s latest-generation ADH® amplification, which combines class-A analog amplification with class-D power and efficiency. The result is a pair of compact amplifiers rated at 600 Wpc into 4 ohms and 300 Wpc into 8 ohms, with extremely low distortion, high damping factor, and the ability to drive a wide range of loudspeakers.

A Complete Hi-Fi System

Astra is built as a complete source-and-amplification hub. Digital sources can connect through coaxial, optical, USB-C, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi, while analog inputs support line-level sources as well as MM and MC cartridges. The onboard phonostage includes 13 equalization curves and extensive cartridge-loading options, giving Astra unusual flexibility for vinyl playback.

Streaming Built In

Devialet Astra supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, UPnP, Roon Ready playback via RAAT, and Qobuz Connect. Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit Ethernet, and Devialet’s DOS3 software platform give Astra the network foundation expected from a modern streaming amplifier.

Speaker and System Matching

Devialet’s SAM® Speaker Active Matching technology allows Astra to adapt its output to compatible passive speakers, preserving the speaker’s acoustic behavior while improving time alignment and bass control. RAM® Record Active Matching brings similar configurability to vinyl playback, with dynamic phonostage adjustments tailored to cartridges and records.

Precision Control

Astra includes a redesigned battery-powered remote with a built-in screen for real-time feedback and a central volume knob with 1 dB adjustment. The Devialet app adds control from a phone or tablet, including input selection, setup preferences, phono adjustments, stereo balance, EQ, power modes, and display brightness.

Compact French Engineering

The Astra’s casing is machined from a single block of aluminum, then anodized, laser-engraved, brushed, and shot-peened. This Light Bronze version keeps the clean, low-profile silhouette of Devialet’s Expert-series amplifiers while adding a warmer, more decorative finish.
