Denon's AVR-X3900H is an X-Series AV receiver built for serious home theater systems, with 9 channels of onboard amplification, 11.4-channel processing, and support for flexible surround and height speaker layouts. Rated at 105 W per channel, it can drive up to 9 speakers and four independent subwoofers, with 11.4-channel pre-outs available for system expansion.

Six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs support modern video systems, including 8K pass-through, 8K upscaling, HDCP 2.3, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, HLG, Dolby Vision, ARC/eARC, VRR, QFT, and ALLM. The AVR-X3900H also supports immersive formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, AURO-3D, and 360 Reality Audio.

Denon designed the AVR-X3900H as a unified hub for TV, gaming, and music, with high-resolution video support, advanced HDMI connectivity, Bluetooth audio transmission, and app-based control. Powered by HEOS adds streaming and multi-room playback with compatible HEOS products.

Setup is handled through Denon's guided Setup Assistant and Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction. For deeper acoustic tuning, the full Dirac Live suite is available as an optional upgrade, including Room Correction, Bass Control, and Active Room Treatment.
