Campfire Audio Chimera In-Ear Monitors
A nine-driver quad-brid IEM with bone conduction, 10 mm True-Glass dynamic driver, balanced armatures, and quad electrostatic super-tweeters
The Campfire Audio Chimera is a wired in-ear monitor built around a nine-driver architecture that combines four driver technologies in a single design. It is Campfire Audio’s first IEM to incorporate bone conduction and electrostatic transducer technology alongside its 10 mm True-Glass dynamic driver.
The driver array includes a bone conduction driver embedded into the magnesium shell, a 10 mm True-Glass dynamic driver from Glass Acoustics Innovations, a dual-diaphragm balanced armature, dual high-frequency balanced armatures, and quad electrostatic super-tweeters. Campfire Audio positions the design around texture, dynamic resolution, imaging, and a deep sense of sonic engagement.
Chimera is built with a billet CNC PVD magnesium shell, selected for lightweight construction and compatibility with the bone conduction driver. Its faceplate is made from carbon fiber-brass damascus material, with layered brass folded into carbon fiber and CNC machined so that each set has a unique pattern.
Acoustic Engineering
Chimera uses an embedded pressure valve designed to tune frequency response and allow even diaphragm movement by reducing air-pressure build-up behind the driver. Campfire Audio says the final design is the result of more than 50 iterations of acoustic routing and spatial tuning elements.
Build Details
Each Chimera is hand assembled in Portland, Oregon. The IEM uses a brass CNC nozzle with a brushed textured finish, a brass wire mesh nozzle screen, and standard 2-pin connectors for compatibility with existing cable collections.
Included Accessories
- ALO Audio Valence-4 cable
