The Cambridge Audio L/R X is the flagship model in the company’s L/R active speaker range, combining amplification, streaming, source switching, DSP, and stereo loudspeakers in one complete system. With 800 W of total power, a custom tweeter, dual woofers, and dual side-mounted passive radiators, the L/R X is designed to deliver the scale and bass authority of a larger system from a compact active-speaker format.

Cambridge Audio’s StreamMagic Gen 4 platform gives the L/R X access to high-resolution streaming from services including Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and Deezer, along with Roon Ready support, Google Cast, AirPlay 2, UPnP, and Internet Radio. Multi-room support through Google Cast, AirPlay 2, and Roon lets the L/R X work as part of a wider Cambridge Audio streaming system.

The L/R X also gives you the inputs needed for a complete music and entertainment setup. A built-in moving-magnet phonostage supports a turntable, HDMI eARC connects a TV, Bluetooth handles quick wireless playback, and USB, optical, and RCA inputs cover digital and analog sources. An RCA subwoofer output is included for systems that need still greater low-end extension.

Room optimization tools, EQ modes, DynamEQ, digital crossovers, and Advanced Speaker Protection help the L/R X maintain balance, clarity, and control at a range of listening levels. The speaker-to-speaker link can be wireless via WiSA HT or wired with the supplied USB-C cable, giving you placement flexibility while preserving a stable connection between speakers.
