Serbia produces the best copper on the planet, and Auris uses it to wind its custom output transformers. Good output transformers offer huge bandwidth and dynamics and do justice to the high-quality components used upstream. 

The KT88 Effect

The Ultima 88 uses KT88 tubes in the output stage, providing a powerful and dynamic audio experience that is perfect for those who enjoy a more energetic sound. Just like the Headonia 300B, the Ultima 88 includes an impedance selector switch. This feature ensures optimal performance and sound quality across a range of headphones with impedances from 32 to 600 ohms.

Crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail as the Headonia 300B, the Ultima 88 features a sturdy chassis made from milled aluminum, minimizing interference and vibrations to deliver pristine audio.

Top-Tier Components

The Ultima 88 is equipped with top-tier components, including precision Japanese Alps potentiometers, German-made Mundorf capacitors, and Lundahl transformers on balanced inputs for enhanced sound quality. The output transformers are hand-wound in-house with high-quality copper wire sourced from Serbia.

Offering both balanced and single-ended inputs, the Ultima 88 provides flexibility for connecting various audio sources, ensuring optimal signal integrity and noise rejection. There is also a preamp output for connecting to external power amplifiers or powered speakers, along with both 6.3mm and 4-pin XLR headphone outputs.
