A 12" Carbon-Fiber Tonearm With VDH Silver Wiring, Adjustable VTA, and a Precision Bearing System

The Auris Hawk is a high-end tonearm built around precision mechanics, a carbon-fiber arm tube, and an extensive bearing system. In its 12" configuration, the Hawk has a 305 mm effective length and 291.5 mm mounting distance, combining long-arm geometry with an 11.9 g effective mass.

The 12" Hawk uses a carbon-fiber arm tube with a 2 mm wall thickness and VDH silver internal wiring. Its DIN 5 connector provides a straightforward interface for the phono cable, while the matte-black finish keeps the design visually understated.

Fine Adjustment for Cartridge Setup

The Hawk provides 10 mm of VTA adjustment, giving the user meaningful latitude when setting arm height for different cartridges and record profiles. The 12" version has 13.5 mm of overhang and an 18° 30' tilt angle, with a specified cartridge compliance range of 6–18 g.

Long-Arm Geometry

With an effective length of 305 mm (12") and a mounting distance of 291.5 mm (11.47"), the Hawk 12" is designed for turntables capable of accommodating a full-length 12" tonearm. Mounting is via two M4 fasteners, with a 43 mm hole diameter, important dimensions to confirm before installation on an existing turntable or armboard.
