The LCD-5s builds on Audeze’s flagship LCD-5 with a new driver design and SLAM™ acoustic management technology. Its nano-scale Parallel Uniforce™ diaphragm uses Audeze’s thinnest, most responsive materials and connects to a revised chassis structure for precise midrange tuning and a more natural, lifelike frequency response.

SLAM technology gives the LCD-5s powerful, extended bass with greater punch, detail, and physical presence. Precise control over diaphragm movement also contributes to its strikingly open soundstage, allowing the LCD-5s to deliver mastering-grade accuracy without sacrificing weight or impact.

The LCD-5s combines its redesigned driver with Audeze’s Fluxor™ neodymium magnet array and Fazor™ phase-management technology. These technologies control the magnetic field and the movement of sound through the earcups, helping the headphones produce low distortion, precise imaging, and a spacious presentation.

New earpads use smoothly curved, precisely sculpted forms to provide long-term comfort and an improved seal. Their geometry also minimizes audible reflections inside the earcups, contributing to the LCD-5s’ tonal accuracy and clarity.

Copper accents complement a structure made from carbon fiber, magnesium, genuine leather, and polished polymer acetate. The combination provides high rigidity, premium fit and finish, and a total weight of 475 g. Each pair is hand-assembled in Audeze’s California workshop.

The included premium cable uses directional OCC high-purity copper strands to provide a low-capacitance, low-resistance signal path. It is terminated with a balanced 4-pin XLR connector, and a 4-pin XLR-to-6.3 mm adapter is included for use with single-ended headphone amplifiers.
