The F500SP is the smallest loudspeaker in the UK-built Special Production series. from Fyne Audio. The SP version adds special production IsoFlare driver, tuned crossover, and premium BassTrax port system, all derived from the prestigious F700 series.

This standmount’s 6” SP IsoFlare driver delivers full-range, point source reproduction across the entire audio spectrum for outstanding detail and class-leading imaging. The multi-fiber cone has exceptional bass reproduction thanks to its innovative twin-magnet motor system and FyneFlute roll surround that reduces cone resonances at the driver termination. The LF output is channeled through a downfiring port onto Fyne’s premium BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system, giving a smooth bass response and easy room integration. The bi-wire connection panel features a fifth terminal to ground the driver chassis and eliminate amp or cable-borne RF interference.

With enhanced details including an anodized aluminum plinth, diamond-cut aluminum driver trim, and a deep gloss walnut veneer finish option, the F500SP is Fyne Audio’s most affordable premium UK-made loudspeaker.

More About Special Production

The 500 SP models use Fyne’s flagship BassTrax Tractrix bass porting system from the F700 and flagship F1 models.  

With many crossover components and circuit architecture trickled down from the premium F700 loudspeakers, F500 SP models use low-loss laminated core inductors, high-grade polypropylene capacitors, and Van Den Hul Matched Crystal silver-plated OFC wiring enhanced by Fyne's Cryo-Lite process. The F500 SP Series also integrate Fyne’s high-quality bi-wire terminal panel with a fifth loudspeaker terminal for driver chassis grounding.

Floorstanding SP models use Fyne’s striking twin-layer metal plinth which is machined from thick aluminum plates. The integrated floor spikes are adjusted from the top of the plinth to make leveling easy, while knurled lock nuts clamp the spikes firmly in position. Machined aluminum cups are provided to protect wooden floors.

The most significant upgrade for Special Production models are the new SP Isoflare drivers. The SP Isoflare units borrow much of the technology developed for F700 models, including the F700’s 25 mm magnesium diaphragm compression tweeter and multi-fiber cone with FyneFlute roll surround.
