The Klipsch La Scala AL6 is a fully horn-loaded speaker with the best bass of any La Scala so far.
“You Won’t Find Too Many Speakers Anywhere Near This Price That Boast a Horn-Loaded Bottom End.”
We recently did a roundup of our favorite products of 2025, and the first one was the Klipsch La Scala AL6. Just a few days ago, Steve Guttenberg released a video of his favorite loudspeakers reviewed in 2025, and guess which beauties were featured?
Steve was especially impressed that the La Scala AL6 is a fully horn-loaded speaker, meaning Klipsch doesn’t just horn-load the tweeter and mid, but the woofer as well. “You won’t find too many speakers anywhere near this price that boast a horn-loaded bottom end,” says Steve. Describing the sonics, he says, “When you experience the degree of subtlety and nuance and definition and clarity in the bottom octaves, it is absolutely extraordinary in a way that no conventionally loaded woofer can manage.”
He also found that the 103 dB-sensitive AL6 can play quietly at late-night levels better than “pretty much any speaker I’ve ever had in this room”. And you know that The Audiophiliac has had a lot of speakers in that room.
Steve liked the La Scala AL6 so much that he wanted to keep them, but they’re just too big and heavy for a reviewer’s space where speakers come and go all the time. In your space, however, it’s just one day of pain as you wrestle these 205 lb., 39" x 24" x 26" cabinets into place, for a lifetime of listening pleasure. Also, a lifetime of viewing pleasure: You’ll be surprised at how lightly the La Scalas sit visually. Plus, let’s not forget these are all-time audio greats, made in Hope, Arkansas, that can be triple-amped, and tick every requirement of a list titled “Speakers for Life”.
