A Year of Musicmagic (No, We Don’t Mean 1977)

One of our favorite new products of 2025 was the Klipsch La Scala AL6 in the American Walnut finish.

Here are 2025’s new products that got us really excited.

Klipsch La Scala AL6 Floorstanding Loudspeaker

Klipsch’s new product drop of 2025 was so exciting, we created an entire in-store event around it. At Klipsch Unleashed on July 12, we unveiled a fully active, tri-amped Klipschorn AK7. But the quiet star was the new La Scala AL6.

La Scalas have always been speakers you want to love wholeheartedly, but have always been too shy in the deep-bass region. Klipsch fixed this with the AL6. It actually reduced woofer size from 15" to 12", but added a patented horn-loaded, vented system which ensures it has, as Kevin says, “more bottom end than any La Scala before it.”

KLH Model 7 Floorstanding Loudspeaker

KLH founder Henry Kloss’s gamble in the 1950s was that amplifier power would get cheaper and more abundant, so he built speakers with lower-efficiency sealed designs, reasoning that it’s better to spend on amplifier wattage than live with the compromises of ported cabinets.

All these years later, KLH speakers still reach out and grab you with their lithe, addictive bass. The Model Seven, a three-way with a 13" acoustic-suspension woofer, 5" midrange, and 1" aluminum dome might just be the best KLH yet.

Eversolo T8 Streamer

Eversolo has been setting streaming world on fire with its richly featured streaming DACs, featuring the highest tech in the under $2,000 price point. The brand has already opened the ears of so many people to the rewards of a quality dedicated digital source, so we were thrilled when they said they were doing a streamer, i.e. a digital-only source.

As for features, consider that the Eversolo T8 has I²S, AES/EBU, USB, femtosecond master clock, Wi-Fi 6, dual-SSD storage, touchscreen control, and even room correction and parametric EQ.

Fyne Audio F502S Floorstanding Loudspeaker

It’s no secret that Fyne Audio speakers have been turning Upscale Audio upside down with their incredible imaging, thanks to IsoFlare point source drivers, and 360° room-filling bass, thanks to BassTrax ports. Then came the F500S series, bringing all of this magic to an extremely affordable level.

The F502S is now one of our all-time favorite speakers, bringing holographic imaging, tonal accuracy, and bass control that simply doesn’t belong in a speaker costing $3,500 a pair.

Rega Brio Mk 7 Integrated Amplifier

If there ever was an industry-favorite integrated amp, it’s the Rega Brio. So many of us have a Brio somewhere at home, either in a small system or kept on hand because we can’t bring ourselves to sell it.

Rega, not content with having a good thing on their hands, made it even better. Again. Now with an onboard DAC in the Mk 7 edition, the Brio sports a dynamic, high-current 50 W design that brings back the good old days of British PRaT. Yes, Rega is rightly celebrated for their turntables, but is shockingly undervalued for its electronics.

Eversolo Play Music Player

If you have an old pair of speakers lying around and you want a system in an unusual space at home, or are sending a kid off to college, or want to give a parent an easy-to-use system, the Eversolo Play is a dangerously easy recommendation.

You get a 60 W amp with that crowd-pleasing Velvet Sound AKM DAC, and even an onboard phonostage. For the CD Edition, you can rip and store your silver-disc collection. It’s hard to find fault with this level of performance at this price.

Fyne Audio F704SP Floorstanding Loudspeaker

As a Fyne fan, seeing the letters SP is like seeing AMG on a Mercedes-Benz or L on a Canon lens. This is the souped-up version for the enthusiast, and it really was about time that the mighty F704 got its Special Production version.

With the familiar two 12" mid-bass drivers, and a 75 mm titanium dome tweeter, the SP edition has an upgraded cryogenically treated crossover with ClarityCap high-grade polypropylene capacitors and Vishay high-power military-grade thick film resistors in the high frequency. The F704 was already a speaker that slapped, now the F704SP slaps and drop-kicks.
